A Day in the Role of a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist

As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in processing various medical documents, including Independent Medical Reviews. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Handling incoming cases, extracting data, and entering it into our electronic database via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word
  • Working independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion
  • Utilizing critical thinking steps to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information
  • Providing exceptional customer service and client coordination over the phone, ensuring that all interactions are professional, courteous, and responsive to client needs
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment, with a strong focus on meeting productivity and quality standards
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims, with a solid understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records
  • Proficiency in using computers, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace, with a computer or laptop that meets our technical requirements (no Chromebooks)
  • At least 1 year of remote work experience, with a proven track record of working independently and managing your time effectively
