Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients, answering questions, and resolving issues related to benefits enrollment. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your excellent communication skills to explain complex aspects of company insurance programs to employees and dependents, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. With a focus on delivering high-quality support, you will examine and assess data to provide accurate information on benefits and group insurance programs, identifying areas for modification or changes in program design and administrative procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond to 30-40 inbound calls per day from a queue, providing benefit and open enrollment information to clients
  • Explain and interpret complex aspects of company insurance programs to employees and dependents, ensuring clarity and understanding
  • Examine, assess, and combine data to provide information on benefits and group insurance programs, identifying areas for improvement
  • Record employee enrollment in benefits, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Utilize specialty in a more complex aspect of Benefit Clerk duties, requiring in-depth knowledge of benefit programs, company policies, and administrative procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess previous customer service experience, with a proven track record of helping answer customer questions and resolving issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be communicating with customers via inbound calls, email, and chat. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word, is also required, as you will be navigating computer systems while on the phone with customers. Strong attendance and reliability are crucial in this role, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience, with a focus on answering customer questions and resolving issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word
  • Strong attendance and reliability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a benefits enrollment or related field, with knowledge of company insurance programs and administrative procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to examine and assess data to provide accurate information
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
