Entry-Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist - Networking Event with AECOM - Coral Gables, FL
AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to delivering a better world. They are seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist to assist with environmental contamination assessments and remediation projects within their Remediation Southeast Team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
- Supports AECOM projects in the areas of contaminated sediments, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation, environmental compliance, regenerative remediation and sustainability
- Collects and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Assist with field activities for data collection
- Identifies discrepancies in results
- Assist the senior staff with field oversight of remediation activities
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with supervision
Skills
- BA/BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field + 0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
- As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening
- As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a medical screening
- Willing to work in a hybrid work environment, with office presence for two days a week
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- Knowledge of CADD/GIS
- Willingness to travel, complete field work, and work extended hours, when necessary
- Knowledge of Mid-Atlantic States environmental regulations and setting
