[Remote] Supply Chain Procurement Specialist Level 2 and Level 3

Northrop Grumman is a leading aerospace and defense technology company looking for a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join their team. The role involves sourcing and procuring goods and services, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers
- Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers
- In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
- Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
- Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations
- Issues purchase orders
- Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations
- Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
- Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded
- Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed
- Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement
Skills
- Bachelors degree with 2 years of experience working with supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, government procurement
- Masters degree with experience working with supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, government procurement
- Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access
- Bachelors degree with 5 years of experience working with supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, government procurement
- Masters degree with 3 years of experience working with supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, government procurement
- Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access
- Background in government procurement with familiarity of FAR/DFARS
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
- Experience in supporting different contract types including cost types and all aspects of contract management from contract award through contract closeout
- Experience with negotiating terms and conditions in a corporate setting
- Experience with Government purchasing and contracting
- Experience analyzing data to formulate and execute effective negotiation strategies
- Business or Supply Chain Management degree
