The Role

As a Senior Technical Designer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in helping us develop a new AAA game that will captivate audiences worldwide. You'll partner closely with our layout team to implement features and content in a clever, sturdy, and pragmatic way. Your expertise will be invaluable in extending the capabilities and abilities of our team, making you a pressure multiplier in every sense.

Key Responsibilities

* Leverage your Unreal Engine knowledge to assist and teach other designers

• Raise the technical capability and rigor of the design team through promoting correct practices
• Proactively seek out workflow and device upgrades
• Assist designers troubleshoot issues and implement solutions
• Implement strong, maintainable content and features in Unreal/Blueprint
• Write design specs, vet them with stakeholders, and make clever changes

Essential Qualifications

* Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine and its capabilities (esp. Blueprint, UMG, Animation Blueprint, Gameplay Framework)

• Foundations of 3D math
• Good-sized programming skills with C++
• 2+ years of experience in a technical design position
• 1+ shipped titles in Unreal
• Experience delivering great multiplayer games
• Fantastic communication and collaboration skills
• Adour for gaming, incubating, building, and shipping video games

Preferred Qualifications

* Programming experience in Python, C#, and/or Lua

• Art and animation skills useful for early gameplay prototypes (e.g. the ability to model, rig, and animate simple placeholder meshes)
