Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Scientist to join our team, responsible for providing numerical modeling and analysis services to support strategic business decisions. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to:
- Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to drive business growth and improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex business problems
- Design and implement data visualization tools to communicate insights to stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, data science, and analytics
- Develop and maintain large-scale data models and applications using cloud-based technologies
- Provide expert-level support to clients and stakeholders on data-related matters
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to drive business growth and improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex business problems
- Design and implement data visualization tools to communicate insights to stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, data science, and analytics
- Develop and maintain large-scale data models and applications using cloud-based technologies
- Provide expert-level support to clients and stakeholders on data-related matters
- Participate in model development, deployment, and maintenance for multiple projects
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with data-driven decision-making
- Develop and maintain data-driven insights and recommendations for business stakeholders
- Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and architectures
- Develop and maintain data quality and governance standards
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data science and analytics
Essential Qualifications
* Postgraduate education (PhD or ABD) in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science
- Strong background in machine learning, data science, and analytics
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
- Strong business acumen and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
* Minor in computer science and formal high-level software engineering coursework
- 2+ years of professional experience in a data science or analytics role
- 1+ year of experience in the aviation industry
- 1+ year of experience in planning and programming/coding information structures for large-scale computer models
- Experience with Julia programming language
- Familiarity with arenaflex/industry data sources
- Organized programming for large-scale computer models
- Shown ability to create business value
