We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our national remote team. As a key member of our team, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere within the U.S. and enjoy a dynamic work environment that's guided by our core values of compassion, innovation, and excellence.Primary Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:- Responding to 60-80 incoming calls from customers inquiring about home delivery pharmacy or pharmacy benefits
- Asking appropriate questions and listening actively while documenting required information in computer systems
- Occasionally making outbound calls to customers for follow-ups
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:- A High School Diploma or GED, or 2 years of equivalent work experience
- To be at least 18 years old
- 1 year of customer service experience, including providing service over the phone
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- The ability to attend 3-4 weeks of training with 100% attendance
- The ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 5:00 AM - 11:00 PM CST from Sunday - Saturday
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we're looking for candidates with:- Call Center experience
- Experience with a virtual learning environment
- Experience with a virtual working environment
- Experience in working with Digital platforms and systems (Web, Chat, Email)
- Health Care/Insurance environment experience (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
Telecommuting Requirements
As a remote employee, you'll need to:- Keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
- Be able to connect directly into the internet via a hard wire (either directly to a modem or router)
Soft Skills
We're looking for candidates with:- The ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- The ability to anticipate taking a minimum of 50 calls daily
Physical and Work Environment
As a remote employee, you'll need to be able to:- Frequently speak, listen using a headset, sit, and use your hands/fingers across a keyboard or mouse
- Work for long periods at a computer
