Key Responsibilities

Transcribe and edit medical records accurately, with high quality, and complete them in a timely manner. Work on a part-time flexible schedule, with a commitment to be available on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) for per diem work. Maintain a high level of productivity and meet the required deadlines. Ensure all transcriptions are done in accordance with industry standards and guidelines. Utilize your expertise to edit and correct transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, and formatting. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: U.S. Citizenship: You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience: A minimum of 1 year of medical transcription experience is mandatory. Language Proficiency: You must be fluent in English to accurately transcribe and edit medical records. In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Familiarity with various medical specialties and their corresponding transcription requirements. Excellent grammar, punctuation, and formatting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Skills and Competencies

Required for Success To excel as a Virtual Medical Transcriptionist/Editor, you'll need: Strong typing skills with high accuracy. Excellent listening and comprehension skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Proficiency in using transcription software and equipment, including a USB-Infinity foot pedal. Strong organizational and time management skills.
