Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Data Platform team, responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient data infrastructure solutions. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with cross-functional groups, including product management, design, and engineering, to drive innovation and excellence in our data platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for our data infrastructure, ensuring the best possible experiences for arenaflex users
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and efficient data infrastructure solutions, including data processing, storage, and analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and engineering, to drive innovation and excellence in our data platform
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure the secure and efficient use of data in arenaflex products
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and technical teams to ensure the growth and development of our team
- Establish and maintain high-quality engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and drive technical solutions that meet those needs
Key Capabilities
* 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on data infrastructure and cloud computing
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, with a proven track record of driving technical excellence and innovation
- Experience with big data processing systems, including Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, and Apache Hadoop
- Experience with cloud-based data storage and analytics platforms, including Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon QuickSight
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, Scala, and Rust
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and high availability
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Education and Experience
* B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Additional requirements include:
+ Experience with streaming data processing systems, including Apache Flink, Kafka Streams, and Flash Streaming + Experience with data visualization tools, including Apache Superset and Grafana + Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence platforms, including Jupyter Notebook and TensorFlow + Experience with cloud-based data warehousing and business intelligence platforms, including Amazon Redshift and Amazon QuickSight
Compensation and Benefits
At arenaflex, we offer a comprehensive compensation package, including a base salary, stock options, and benefits. Our base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits, including:
