[Remote] Software Engineering Internship
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 8am is looking for talented, team-oriented, and motivated Software Development Interns for the summer of 2026 who enjoy a fast-paced environment and working on technically challenging projects. In this role, you will work alongside experienced developers contributing to active projects and be involved in designing, coding, testing, and deploying software.
Responsibilities
- Must be earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university
- Very strong foundational knowledge in Object-Oriented Design Principles, Data Structures, Algorithms, SQL, Operating Systems, and Software Engineering
- Desire to learn rapidly
- Familiar with Java, C++ and/or Python is a plus
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus
- Use of a Javascript framework (like ReactJS or Angular), or Ruby On Rails is a plus
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation
