Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Visualization Engineer to join our team, where you'll play a critical role in developing and maintaining our data-driven web applications. As a key member of our Development and Operations Tools group, you'll work closely with our data science and design teams to create intuitive and informative visualizations that drive business insights and decision-making. Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop interactive and dynamic data visualizations that tell compelling stories and drive business insights
- Collaborate with data science and design teams to integrate data from various sources, including API endpoints and social datasets
- Develop and maintain web applications using front-end JavaScript and Node.js, with experience working with perception libraries and UI frameworks like React or Vue
- Create clear, decipherable diagrams and visualizations that communicate complex information to a wide range of stakeholders
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results and meet project deadlines
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization and front-end development, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data visualization, front-end development, and web application development
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles, including design, typography, and color theory
- Experience working with front-end JavaScript and Node.js, with a strong understanding of UI frameworks like React or Vue
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries, including D3.js and Chart.js
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience working with large datasets and complex data systems
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Azure
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git
- Strong understanding of accessibility principles and best practices
