Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for processing high-volume transactions, promoting a seamless experience for our customers, and contributing to the overall success of our operations team. As a Senior Customer Service Associate, you will be expected to review incoming research requests, respond to annuitants in writing or by phone, and analyze data to prepare reports on team performance. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential in building relationships with other business partners, assisting our Contact Center, and leading special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review incoming research requests and respond to annuitants in writing or by phone according to established procedures
  • Review, analyze, and prepare reports based on data obtained from team performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Assist in daily workflow activities to ensure timely completion of cases and meet productivity standards
  • Build relationships with other business partners to foster collaboration and drive results
  • Assist our Contact Center by handling inbound phone calls from customers, as needed, to provide exceptional customer service
  • Lead and participate in special projects as needed to drive process improvements and contribute to the team's success
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various process flows to provide guidance and support to colleagues
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for growth and development

Essential Qualifications

  • BS degree or minimum of 1-2 years of equivalent work experience in a transaction processing environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a brief and concise fashion
  • Successful attention to detail, with a focus on quality and productivity standards
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and disseminate information
  • Computer proficiency, with accurate keying skills and Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Word

  • Experience within a transaction processing environment, where quality and productivity standards need to be met
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
