This exciting opportunity is part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks related to payment processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Your expertise will help us deliver seamless and secure financial services to our members. If you're passionate about customer service, banking, and credit unions, this role is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data entry and balancing tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Work on member cases and projects assigned to you, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail
  • Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
  • Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, providing exceptional customer service and support
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers
  • Complete daily processing of workflows related to late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous customer/member service experience, preferably in a banking or credit union environment
  • Previous experience with Episys/Symitar and processing wires
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
