Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our Orchestration crew, you'll be responsible for building software for a large-scale data processing environment that supports real-time and batch data for our flagship streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+. You'll work closely with our team to design and develop cloud-based data solutions using AWS and other cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Full Stack Software Engineer at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, including:
- Leading a cross-functional team of engineers to build software for a large-scale data processing environment
- Building tools and services to support data discovery, lineage, resiliency, and privacy compliance across the data platform
- Designing and implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methods for infrastructure components to ensure high availability and agility
- Driving software engineering and architecture best practices and standards within the team and wider organization
- Providing mentorship and guidance to team members, evangelizing the platform, best practices, and data-driven decision-making
- Identifying new use cases and features and driving adoption
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Fluency in Python and Scala
- Deep experience deploying and operating cloud-based data solutions (ideally AWS) and infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform
- Ability to dive deep into any technical issue and understand and drive the overall system architecture
- A passion for craftsmanship in software development and a willingness to work backwards from the customer experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience maintaining real-time data infrastructure, including Kinesis or Kafka
- Expertise with workflow scheduler tools, including Airflow
- Experience with Scala, Python, Terraform, and AWS

Compensation
The hiring range for this position is $35 to $45 per hour. The base pay actually provided will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related understanding, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term performance incentive devices may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the entire range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and function provided.
