Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Data Engineer to join our team in a remote work-from-home capacity. As an Associate Data Engineer, you will be responsible for providing specialized support in the management and development of our data pipeline. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design and implement data pipelines that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. Your expertise in data engineering and automation will be critical in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide specialized support in the management and development of our data pipeline, including the design and implementation of data pipelines that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.

  • Work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data pipeline development projects.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using a range of technologies, including UIs, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and Shell.
  • Collaborate with our data engineering team to design and implement data pipelines that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
  • Test and investigate data pipeline issues using test and live client data, and automate these tests using Jenkins, Python, and Java.
  • Use dashboards for Kubernetes/OpenShift to analyze high-level issues and ensure services are stable.
  • Support execution following go-live and work with the execution team to change support.
  • Work with data suppliers to explain requirements and eliminate barriers.
  • Drive automation into routine activities.
  • May perform other work duties as directed by Representative's Chiefs.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics.

  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering principles and practices, including data pipeline design and implementation.
  • Experience with a range of technologies, including UIs, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and Shell.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize data pipeline development projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics.

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering and automation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance and data quality principles and practices.

Skills and Competencies

* Strong knowledge of data engineering principles and practices, including data pipeline design and implementation.

  • Experience with a range of technologies, including UIs, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and Shell.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize data pipeline development projects.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
