Job Description

As an After School Art Instructor with arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children aged 5-12. You will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging art lessons that inspire creativity, foster self-expression, and promote a love for art. Your passion, energy, and expertise will help to create a positive and inclusive class environment that allows children to feel valued, supported, and motivated.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and implement engaging art lessons for children aged 5-12, with a focus on beginner level

• Provide instructions on how to draw, paint, and color using different creative methods
• Create a positive and inclusive class environment that allows children to feel valued and supported
• Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during art classes
• Develop and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful program
• Collaborate with other instructors to develop and implement program goals and objectives
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in art education

Qualifications

* A genuine passion for working with children and art

• Experience teaching art to kids is a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of different art techniques such as coloring, drawing, and painting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create fun, engaging, and age-appropriate lesson plans
• Energetic, patient, and knowledgeable on how to share positive feedback
• Great ability to motivate and encourage kids
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in fine arts or education preferred
