About the Role
As an IT Summer Undergraduate Intern in our Operations Research – Data Science team, you'll have the opportunity to join our journey to make innovation an advantage for the organization. You'll work alongside our team of expert data scientists, analysts, and researchers to build models that support various functions across the airline, including Revenue Management, Freight, Customer Experience, and Tech Operations.
Key Responsibilities
As an Information Science Undergraduate Intern, you'll be responsible for:
- Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns in airline data
- Developing and implementing data models to predict customer behavior and inform business decisions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into business operations
- Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including Operations Research and Business leaders
- Working independently, with minimal supervision, to drive projects and deliver results
What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A 3.0 GPA or higher and completion of at least 2 years in a school program
- A degree emphasis in Information Science, Data Analysis/Operations Research, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages
- Strong logical, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals, thinking, and styles
- Commitment to prioritizing health and safety, both personally and for others
- Interest in tackling complex problems and contributing to the development of innovative solutions
