Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead our data engineering efforts and drive the development of cloud-based data pipelines. As a Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers, designing and implementing data pipelines, and ensuring data quality and integrity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of cloud-based data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity
- Design and implement data pipelines that meet business needs and adhere to data governance policies
- Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
- Develop and maintain data architecture and design patterns, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Ensure data pipelines are secure, compliant, and meet regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop data-driven insights and recommendations
- Develop and maintain data quality metrics and reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Identify and implement process improvements, reducing costs and improving efficiency
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, software development, or related field
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and data governance
- Experience with data engineering tools, such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or AWS Glue
- Strong understanding of data architecture and design patterns
- Experience with data quality metrics and reporting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Experience with data governance and compliance
- Experience with agile development methodologies
