100% Remote Full-time Open now

Principal Solutions Architect - AI Location: Global - Remote Who We Are Spectro Cloud aims to make infrastructure boundaryless for the enterprise, from the data center to the edge and every platform in between. We empower organizations to run Kubernetes their way, anywhere — delivering consistency, security, and operational excellence across diverse environments. Founded by industry veterans with a history of building successful multi-cloud management solutions, we are backed by top-tier investors and driven by a relentless focus on customer value. At Spectro Cloud, we believe in hiring experts who thrive in solving hard problems and shaping the future of cloud-native infrastructure. What’s The Job? Spectro Cloud is redefining enterprise Kubernetes management and edge computing with our Palette platform — enabling organizations to manage any cluster, anywhere, at any scale. As we expand our footprint into AI/ML infrastructure, we are seeking a Principal Architect for AI to lead our field and product strategy for AI workloads across edge and cloud environments. This role is ideal for a deeply technical leader who thrives at the intersection of AI infrastructure, Kubernetes, GPU lifecycle management, and MLOps. You will act as a bridge between customers, engineering, and the field, shaping how Spectro Cloud enables secure, scalable, and production-ready AI solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Enablement & Mentorship

  • Educate internal and external stakeholders on deploying AI/ML workloads (e.g., Kubeflow, KServe, NVIDIA Operator) on Palette.
  • Mentor Solutions Engineering (SE) and Technical Account Management (TAM) teams through architecture reviews, enablement programs, and deal shaping.
  • Develop internal knowledge artifacts such as whitepapers, reference architectures, playbooks, and lab environments showcasing AI/ML pipelines.

Partner with SE and TAM leadership to raise field technical acumen and ensure consistency in AI/ML solution delivery. 2. Innovation & Thought Leadership

  • Prototype and evangelize Palette-integrated GPU lifecycle management and AI workload lifecycle automation.
  • Develop reference architectures, reusable components, and AI/ML workload sizing calculators and templates.
  • Conduct R&D-style explorations and build prototypes for emerging AI use cases, model-serving frameworks, and edge-cloud aggregation architectures.
  • Represent Spectro Cloud in industry forums, technical publications, webinars, and developer communities as a thought leader in Kubernetes for AI.

3. Product & Engineering Influence

  • Act as a technical advisor to product and engineering teams, translating customer use cases into actionable roadmap priorities and features.
  • Influence and guide the roadmap for GPU scheduling, NVIDIA operator integration, and MLOps framework alignment.
  • Support early adoption pilots to validate new AI and GPU management capabilities, ensuring production readiness.
  • Champion integration with open-source ML tools and frameworks across the AI/ML lifecycle.

4. Strategic Field Support

  • Provide hands-on architectural guidance and escalation support for complex, high-stakes AI deployments.
  • Lead customer discovery to translate challenges into scalable, secure, and operationally sound AI solutions.
  • Architect edge AI and cloud aggregation pipelines leveraging Palette constructs for drift detection, model governance, and compliance.
  • Deliver or support proofs of concept, workshops, and technical validations for strategic enterprise accounts.

What Team Will You Work With? You’ll be part of a cross-functional organization that operates at the intersection of product strategy, customer success, and technical innovation. This team serves as Spectro Cloud’s technical vanguard — shaping how Palette is adopted across complex, regulated, and large-scale environments. You will collaborate closely with:

  • Solutions Engineering and Technical Account Management (TAM) teams to mentor, co-design architectures, and support key customer engagements.
  • Product and Engineering teams to translate mission needs into secure, scalable capabilities that advance Palette’s platform.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) and Partner Alliances teams to enable public sector partners, integrators, and agencies.
  • Fellow Principal Architects across domains (AI, Edge, Cloud) to build unified architectures and reference frameworks for the field.

This is a highly visible, strategic role — providing you with direct influence over both Spectro Cloud’s technical roadmap and how the public sector leverages Palette to deliver on critical missions. About You?

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, DevOps, or AI/ML systems design — with at least 3+ years focused on Kubernetes-based AI workloads.
  • Deep knowledge of GPU scheduling, MLOps, model serving (Kubeflow, KServe, MLflow), and container orchestration.
  • Experience building or supporting production AI/ML infrastructure spanning edge and cloud environments.
  • Strong background with one or more of: NVIDIA Operator, Triton Inference Server, TensorRT, or similar frameworks.
  • Proven ability to engage enterprise customers and communicate complex technical concepts with clarity.
  • Demonstrated success influencing product direction and contributing to open-source or cross-functional initiatives.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer-facing architecture, field CTO, or pre-sales engineering roles.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm, Crossplane) and modern GitOps practices.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed model training, GPU virtualization, and hybrid AI architectures.
  • Contributions to technical publications, conference talks, or open-source communities related to AI/ML infrastructure.
