Staff Appraiser (Remote)
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Appraiser to join our team. As a Staff Appraiser, you will play a crucial role in determining the market value of residential properties from the comfort of your own workspace. You will conduct thorough assessments and analyses of properties to provide accurate and reliable appraisals. This position requires a deep understanding of real estate valuation principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in using appraisal software and tools. Responsibilities - Conduct property inspections and evaluations physically and remotely to assess the condition, features, and market value of residential real estate. - Gather and analyze data on comparable properties, recent sales, listings, and market trends to determine accurate valuations. - Prepare detailed appraisal reports that comply with regulatory standards and client requirements. - Utilize appraisal software and tools to perform calculations, generate reports, and maintain appraisal records. - Stay updated with local real estate market trends, zoning laws, and regulatory guidelines affecting property values. - Collaborate with real estate agents, homeowners, lenders, and other stakeholders remotely to gather relevant information and resolve appraisal-related issues. - Provide expert testimony and support in legal proceedings, if required. - Maintain professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all aspects of appraisal work. - Ensure timely completion of appraisals and adhere to deadlines. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). - Must be a Certified or Licensed Residential Appraiser. - Proven experience as a Real Estate Appraiser, with a strong portfolio of completed appraisals. - In-depth knowledge of real estate valuation methods, appraisal techniques, and industry standards. - Proficiency in using appraisal software and tools (e.g., MLS, Excel, appraisal management systems). - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy in appraisal reports. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple appraisals simultaneously. - Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements governing residential real estate appraisals.- Experience with single family, FHA, manufactured, multi-family appraisal assignments Benefits - Competitive split fee rate based on experience and certifications. - Professional development opportunities and continuing education support. - Remote work arrangement with flexibility and autonomy in managing workload.
