As a key member of our Member Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting a major public health project, working closely with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH).

Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for multiple operational functions across the Member Services department, including:

  • Data management across multiple data management systems, including claims processing systems, case management systems, and databases
  • Handling sensitive information, such as Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII), in adherence with HIPAA and federal data privacy regulations
  • Communication with multiple business teams internally and the public, ensuring seamless collaboration and exceptional customer service
  • Maintaining subject matter expertise in federal regulations that define the parameters of the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program, which define Program eligibilities
  • Daily processing of diverse work products in a high-volume environment, upholding the highest standards of customer service
  • Managing in-bound and out-bound calls, working with the public, and identifying issues quickly, escalating them through the management chain as needed

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of related experience in customer service, call centers, or a similar field
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous healthcare experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required clearance

Compensation and Perks

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • A salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience
