The Role
As a Zapier Integration Specialist at blithequark, you'll be responsible for setting up a complete, detailed integration between FreshBooks and QuickBooks Online via Zapier.com. This is a one-time project with the option for follow-up support, and we're looking for someone who can deliver high-quality results on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up a comprehensive integration between FreshBooks and QuickBooks Online via Zapier.com
- Import all invoices from FreshBooks into QuickBooks, including:
+ All items/products/services + Quantities, rates, taxes, discounts + Accurate customer info + Matching invoice numbers & dates + The invoice total in QuickBooks must exactly match FreshBooks
- Import all payments from FreshBooks into QuickBooks, including:
+ Payment method (credit card, check, ACH, cash, etc.) + Correct payment dates and apply payments to the right invoices + Handle partial payments correctly
- Create new customers in FreshBooks and automatically create them in QuickBooks
- Map existing customers from FreshBooks to QuickBooks, ensuring no duplicates
- Test the integration in test accounts to verify that no duplicates, missing data, or mismatches occur
- Deliver complete, documented Zaps with clear triggers, filters, actions, and mapping logic
- Provide best practice advice for stable, ongoing syncing
- Smooth handover and optional support if needed after launch
Requirements
* Proven Zapier experience with accounting tools
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online tax, item, and customer structures
- Ability to map complex invoice/payment data without errors
- Clear communication and fast turnaround
Essential Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience with Zapier and accounting tools
- Strong understanding of QuickBooks Online and FreshBooks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Zapier's API and webhooks
- Knowledge of JavaScript and/or Python
- Familiarity with accounting principles and best practices
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software
