Experienced Maintenance Control Technician – Airplane Maintenance and Technical Support Specialist for American Airlines

About the Role: Maintenance Control Technician We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Control Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft. You will provide technical guidance and support to our maintenance teams, analyze mechanical and operational performance data, and develop solutions to maintenance issues.   • Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance staff, including troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues
  • Analyze mechanical and operational performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement solutions to maintenance issues, including coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, and operations to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our maintenance operations

Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as aviation maintenance, aerospace engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a maintenance control technician or in a related role, preferably in the aviation industry
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Knowledge of MEL, ETOPS, and GPM
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and days off
  • Ability to travel for support of unavailable aircraft
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Extensive experience as a maintenance control technician or in a related role, preferably in the aviation industry
  • Broad knowledge of aircraft systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with aircraft maintenance management systems and software
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising or leading teams
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, with a focus on languages commonly spoken in the regions we operate
