[Remote] Senior Market Economics Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Navvis is a healthcare company focused on population health management through finance strategy and analysis. The Senior Market Economics Analyst will support the development of financial models and analytics to improve performance within value-based payment models, collaborating across teams to deliver insights and enhance healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of comprehensive value-based care financial models for health plans, health systems, and physician organizations across all lines of business including Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Direct-to-Employer etc. models including scenario analysis
  • Utilize large data sets from healthcare claims and other health care related files to develop meaningful financial models and perform financial analytics
  • Review progress with, and incorporate feedback from, team leadership and other stakeholders to advance the analytics and models
  • Help summarize analysis and model results for presentations internally and externally with client partners
  • Help support the full Finance Strategy and Performance team analytic work and projects
  • Builds and maintains financial analytic models and performs value-based analytics using Excel and SQL database files
  • Reviews value-based payer/provider contracts and reports to support analytic work
  • Works collaboratively in a team-based environment developing strong relationships across the organization, working very closely with Analytics Operations, Data Management, and IT departments as well as our Market based teams
  • Understands current value-based financial models/contract structures and stays abreast of new value-based payment methodologies, policies, models, regulations across all lines of business
  • Uses claims data, patient encounter data, client financial statements, payer contracts, value-based payment and compensation model structures performing financial analysis and development of financial model projections
  • Clearly documents and communicates methodologies and assumptions utilized to perform the analysis
  • Develops strong relationships with good communication skills within Navvis and with Clients
  • Under the guidance and leadership of the Director, develops sound analytic products and models that are well organized providing end users ability to easily follow the logic used
  • Strong desire to learn and grow to advance skills and career in value based health care Finance and Strategy
  • Highly organized and efficient approach to work meeting agreed upon due dates and deadlines

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Health Care Administration or Public Health required
  • 3-4 years health care finance or business analyst experience at a payer, ACO, or health system
  • Highly skilled in Excel and experience with Microsoft SQL required
  • Strong writing and analytic presentation skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem identification and resolution skills
  • Passion for changing healthcare
  • Experience with programming packages such as Python, R, SAS or experience with Microsoft’s Power Platform desired
