Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines to support the development of new battery technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and analysis teams, to drive data-driven insights and inform decision-making
• Develop and maintain large-scale datasets and data warehouses to support business intelligence and analytics
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders
• Work with system teams, including DBA and IT, to ensure the proper functioning of all data pipelines and the stability of the data warehouse
• Develop and maintain data sources, including views, projections, and stored procedures, to support reporting and analytics
• Support reporting engineers by writing high-performance, low-cost SQL queries, providing easy-to-use datasets as Tableau extracts and database views, and conducting code reviews

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience
• Deep knowledge of database design and architecture, including experience with relational and columnar databases (DML, DDL, projections, views, stored procedures)
• Strong proficiency with query optimization and writing efficient, low-cost SQL statements
• Experience with data pipeline development (ETL, ELT) and data warehousing
• Strong proficiency with at least one programming language (Python and/or Java preferred)
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed databases (Snowflake, GCP, AWS) preferred
• Experience with stream processing and messaging queues (Kafka, AMQP) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and distributed databases
• Experience with data science and machine learning algorithms
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git, SVN)
