Job Overview

In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providers, and referral sources seeking home healthcare services. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment, handling approximately 60-65 incoming calls per day. Your primary responsibility will be to collect clinical and demographic information, enter it into our portal, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent empathy and patience when dealing with difficult callers or complex requests
  • Collect and accurately enter clinical and demographic information into our portal
  • Provide timely and effective responses to customer inquiries, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Comply with all blithequark policies, including HIPAA/PHI, to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information
  • Strive to meet or exceed individual performance goals in areas such as Call Quality, Attendance, Adherence, and other Contact Center objectives
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and promote a positive, supportive work environment

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in the healthcare or medical industry, with knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate dual monitors and multiple applications
  • Intermediate keyboarding abilities (at least 30 WPM, with data entry skills while actively listening)
  • Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
  • A passing score on the SHL Customer Service Phone Simulation Assessment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Prior experience working in a remote call center environment
  • Knowledge of home healthcare services and the healthcare industry
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or similar technology
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., CHAA, CCSP)
