Job Summary

In this critical role, you will own a portfolio of accounts within blithequark's Client Partner's Self Pay, Self-Pay After Insurance, and/or Payment Plan Accounts Receivable. Your primary responsibility will be to resolve balances rapidly, compliantly, and with a patient-centric approach, while maximizing blithequark's Client Partner's financial performance. You will field inbound phone calls, manage assigned inventory, and perform account research and resolution on Self Pay, FAP, and Insurance topics. Key Responsibilities

  • Field inbound patient calls, providing professional, patient-centric support and resolving issues efficiently and effectively
  • Manage assigned inventory through the proper and timely cycling of Dispositional Segments within blithequark's software solution(s)
  • Consistently meet the Total Touches per Day target (for both Patients and Guarantors) as determined by the assigned Segment of A/R and other client nuances and considerations
  • Accurately set up Payment Plans with Patients per client guidelines, securing payments and partial payments as needed
  • Perform account research and resolution on Self Pay, FAP, and Insurance topics in a timely and results-oriented fashion
  • Document all patient encounters in the Hospital's source system and/or blithequark's workflow solution, ensuring accurate and thorough records
  • Perform initial assessments for Financial Assistant Program(s) per client guidelines, demonstrating empathy and understanding of patient needs

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Patient-Centric Customer Service: a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service, with a focus on empathy, accuracy, and patient satisfaction
  • Empathy: the ability to understand and connect with patients, leaders, and staff, demonstrating a genuine passion for healthcare
  • Multi-system toggling and organizational efficiency: experience working with multiple software systems, with the ability to toggle between them efficiently and effectively
  • Documentation, written and verbal communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products: experience working with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • HIPAA and related Privacy and Security Acts and Regulations: a strong understanding of HIPAA and related regulations, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Experience working in a healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of healthcare operations and financial management
  • Knowledge of insurance carrier, attorney, and non-Self Pay related topics, with the ability to field calls and resolve issues efficiently
  • Experience working with payment plans, financial assistance programs, and account resolution, with a strong understanding of client guidelines and regulations
