Responsibilities

As a Network Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, configuring, and deploying network infrastructure (LAN/WAN) for our Call Centers and Data Centers
• Performing hardware refreshes (primarily Cisco routers, switches, firewalls)
• Implementing remote access VPN solutions, site-to-site VPNs, GRE tunnels, and DMVPN
• Configuring firewall access requests
• Completing routing changes
• Racking, cabling, and labeling in the Data Center as needed
• Creating and maintaining diagrams and documentation
• Working ticket requests
• Providing on-shift outage escalation support from our NOC
• Participating in on-call support coverage

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• CCNP and above, or equivalent experience
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• A thorough understanding of LAN and WAN technologies
• Advanced troubleshooting and configuration experience with routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching (vPC, Etherchannel, Stackwise, VSS), and firewalls
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches
• Familiarity with VRF configurations
• SD-WAN and ACI experience would be a plus
