About the Role

As a Part-Time Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be an integral part of our customer care team, providing top-notch service to our clients. This is a fully remote position, including an initial 4 weeks of paid training, designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this role. We are seeking highly motivated, self-directed individuals with previous work-from-home experience who can thrive in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and respond to telephone and electronic inquiries regarding long-term care benefit administration, policy owner eligibility, and claims processing.
  • Document all calls and related correspondence using our proprietary tools and office processes, including follow-up calls, voicemails, and pending service requests.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and excellent service to internal and external customers at all times, actively cooperating and interacting with other departments to advance the company's overall interests.
  • Identify service opportunities and suggest innovative ideas for improvement, handling multiple products and services while meeting established service requirements and standards.
  • Act with a sense of urgency and take ownership of call management and escalation of issues, ensuring that issues are referred to the appropriate areas and leveraging internal relationships for efficient issue resolution.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned, including assisting with Policy Owner Services duties, updating databases, and recording information in the proper location.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred, although we welcome applicants from various backgrounds who demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A working knowledge of life and health products is welcomed but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent active listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Good attendance and the ability to function as a reliable member of our operations team.
  • A cell phone or landline to utilize multi-factor authorization, as required by Microsoft.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • 2 years of experience in a call center environment.
  • 1 year of experience in the insurance industry.
