Job Summary

We are seeking friendly, attentive, and tech-savvy independent contractors to join our team on a seasonal basis. As a Customer Care and Benefits Enrollment Representative, you will be responsible for assisting federal employees and retirees, compensationers, and retired military personnel with plan enrollment, creating new accounts, general plan questions, and site navigation. Key Responsibilities

* Assist federal employees and retirees, compensationers, and retired military personnel with plan enrollment, creating new accounts, general plan questions, and site navigation

  • Provide excellent, patient, and empathetic customer service via phone and other communication channels
  • Utilize technical skills to navigate complex benefits enrollment systems and resolve customer issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
  • Meet productivity and quality standards while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on benefits enrollment processes and systems

Requirements

* Location: Must live in and work from the United States (except California, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington state)

  • Background Check: Must successfully complete a background check to represent our client
  • Technology: Must have a personal computer (no tablet), broadband internet connection (at least 10 MBPS), wired internet connection (cable, fiber optic, or DSL), Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system, Windows Security/Microsoft Defender Antivirus, and a wired USB headset with microphone
  • Language: English language proficiency required

Earnings Potential

* Hourly Rate: Earn up to $15.60 per productive hour (paid by the minute worked with 54 minutes/hour guaranteed)

  • Incentives: Earn an equivalent of $20+/hour with incentives offered during peak times

Schedule

* Flexible Schedule: Create your own schedule to work during our hours of operation (7am-8pm CT Monday-Friday) and during peak periods

  • Peak Periods: May include extended hours during open enrollment (November 11 – December 9)

Skills and Competencies

* Excellent Customer Service: Provide patient, empathetic, and friendly customer service via phone and other communication channels

  • Technical Skills: Utilize technical skills to navigate complex benefits enrollment systems and resolve customer issues
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex customer issues in a timely and professional manner

Work Environment

* Quiet, Uninterrupted Space: Must have a quiet, uninterrupted space during all working hours

  • Home Office: Must work from a home office with a dedicated workspace
