Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced and results-driven Account Strategist to join our Mid-Market Sales team at blithequark. As a trusted advisor and competitive seller, you'll work closely with our clients to understand their business challenges, marketing goals, and success metrics. Leveraging your expertise in digital advertising and sales, you'll develop and execute strategies that drive growth, improve customer engagement, and maximize ROI. Responsibilities

As an Account Strategist, Mid-Market Sales, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and managing relationships with clients, and developing an in-depth understanding of their business challenges, marketing goals, and success metrics.
  • Working proactively and cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure workflows and projects are completed on time to a high standard.
  • Planning for, and achieving, growth goals through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients meet their marketing objectives.
  • Developing forward-thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantifying high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Building an in-depth knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing goals.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads and other marketing tools.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and competitive selling.
  • Experience working with channel sales, advertisers, agencies, and/or clients.
  • Expertise in launching and managing paid digital advertising campaigns, particularly in Google Ads and other digital marketing platforms.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context, and ability to achieve goals to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
