Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative for our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you will be responsible for providing telephone support to patients, coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits, and communicating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities:

* Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy

  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders
  • Verify and revivify benefits
  • Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner
  • Screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Collect copay amounts and obtain authorizations
  • Work with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment

Essential Qualifications:

* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone

  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

* Preceding healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology

Skills and Competencies:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications and computer keyboarding
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
