Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Customer Service Associate to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Service Associate, you will play a critical role in enhancing the customer experience by providing in-station, real-time, hands-on support to ensure our customers receive their packages on time, as promised. Your primary responsibility will be to connect customers with specialists who can provide them with the most accurate and up-to-date information about their packages. You will be the face of blithequark, and your exceptional customer service skills will be essential in making a positive impact on our customers' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle difficult customer situations while using empathy through phone and email, responding promptly and prioritizing customer needs, and soliciting customer feedback to improve the customer experience.
  • Read and analyze data, using stories and experience to supplement information, and be willing to learn and improve workflows and processes, seeking out ways to enhance and promote quality, and demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness while meeting established deadlines.
  • Utilize problem-solving capabilities to identify and solve customer-facing problems in a timely manner, collecting and analyzing data skillfully to develop alternative solutions.
  • Communicate effectively, listening and clarifying, focusing on resolving customer needs, maintaining confidentiality, and following rules and procedures.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities, displaying objectivity and openness to others' views, giving and receiving feedback, contributing to building a positive team environment, and committing to goals and objectives, supporting the team's efforts to succeed.
  • Treat people with respect, inspiring the trust of others, and upholding organizational values and goals with integrity.
  • Support affirmative action and recognize diversity.
  • Perform physical tasks, such as wearing, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 49 pounds, standing, kneeling, crouching, and/or stretching during shifts up to 12 hours long, and working in a warehouse production environment where noise levels and temperatures vary (personal protective equipment provided).

Essential Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Previous experience in customer service.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work time to ensure productivity.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Familiarity with multiple internet browsers, database searching, and instant messenger tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in knowledge performance metrics and developing them to measure progress against key performance indicators.
