About the Role

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for answering toll-free customer service calls and correspondence, including letters and internet emails. You will field customer questions, resolve standard customer complaints, document information into our call tracking system, and ensure effective communication at all levels. Additionally, you will provide support for monitoring social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, to respond to customer comments and questions, encouraging a higher level of engagement and providing additional assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond accurately, promptly, and effectively to all forms of customer communication, including phones, letters, and email.
  • Resolve difficult and sensitive customer issues in an objective and timely manner, using problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders, including Regional Vice Presidents, District Managers, Store Managers, and Home Office personnel, to resolve problems and answer questions.
  • Document customer and store information into our call tracking system.
  • Promote a positive company image to support Customer Service objectives and mission statement.
  • Compose personal replies to customer letters and/or emails and maintain assigned reports.
  • Update customer addresses for our Loyalty Program and adjust reward points as needed.
  • Make sound judgment calls that align with our brand, escalation, and customer service policies for social media customer-related issues.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and capable of moderating a high volume of inbound content.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 1 to 3 years of retail customer service or call center experience and proven conflict management skills.
  • A flexible mindset, oriented towards conflict resolution.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • PC knowledge and typing skills.
  • Reliable internet access at your home, with a cable internet provider (satellite internet providers are not eligible).
  • Residency in one of the following states: Wyoming, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Texas, North Dakota, or Arkansas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and customer service software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
