Experienced Full Stack Software Engineer – Web & Cloud Application Development at blithequark

As a Sr. Gear Engineer at blithequark, you will play a critical role in supporting our crew across all disciplines, leveraging your expertise to multiply our efforts, enhance crew performance, and help us create high-quality games that exceed our players' expectations. You will work closely with our Art, Layout, and Engineering teams to identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and troubles in our development process, and collaborate with the crew to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs, and implement the selected answer. In this exciting role, you will be accountable for assisting, developing, and preserving blithequark's proprietary set of engine-specific and custom gear that we use every day. You will also be responsible for building and guiding custom asset pipelines, growing our proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

* Proactively identify inefficiencies and elaborate areas in our development process across disciplines

• Preserve, extend, and aid present development gear
• Build and guide custom asset pipelines
• Grow blithequark's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and structures
• Collaborate with the crew to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs, and implement the selected answer
• Assist in the adoption of the solution by the team

Essential Qualifications:

* A strong passion for empowering others to do their best work

• Experience with the overall device lifecycle, including identifying issues, comparing capacity answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness
• Enjoy working with custom standalone gear
• Enjoy growing gear that can be utilized by many game development disciplines
• Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, and JavaScript
• Ability to work efficiently in a self-directed environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with custom game engines, including Unreal or Unity

• Familiarity with JavaScript and Net Tech
• Familiarity with required utility materials
• Resume outlining applicable experience
