Job Summary

As an IT Security Engineer at blithequark, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing security solutions to protect our critical infrastructure, applications, and data. You will work closely with our IT Security team to ensure the security and integrity of our systems, networks, and applications. Your expertise will be essential in identifying and mitigating potential security threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and providing exceptional customer support.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and implement robust security solutions to protect critical infrastructure, applications, and data

• Collaborate with the IT Security team to identify and mitigate potential security threats
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR
• Provide exceptional customer support to internal stakeholders, including IT teams and business leaders
• Develop and maintain documentation, including security policies, procedures, and standards
• Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure seamless integration of security solutions
• Participate in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and provide recommendations for improvement

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in IT Security, with a focus on network and cloud security
• Strong understanding of systems administration, including Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms
• Experience with security frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT
• Familiarity with security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security threats

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in IT Security, with a focus on network and cloud security
• Experience with cloud security platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
• Familiarity with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages, including Python, PowerShell, and Bash
