Job Summary
As a Senior Big Data Engineer at blithequark, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying big data solutions that drive business growth and improve customer experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, design and implement data pipelines, and develop data-driven insights that inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deploy big data solutions using Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and other big data technologies
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop data-driven insights and recommendations
- Work with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and data warehouses
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in big data engineering, with a focus on Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and other big data technologies
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
- Experience with data warehousing and data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on GCP or AWS
