Job Overview

As a part-time High School Math Tutor at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one tutoring services to high school students in various math subjects, including algebra, geometry, and calculus. You will work with students to develop their problem-solving skills, build their confidence, and help them achieve academic success.

Responsibilities

* Provide high-quality tutoring services to high school students in math subjects, including algebra, geometry, and calculus

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student
• Conduct regular progress assessments to monitor student progress and adjust tutoring strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, including session reports and attendance records
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and any concerns or issues that may arise
• Collaborate with other tutors and staff members to share best practices and ensure consistency in tutoring services
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in tutoring and education

Minimum Qualifications

* Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, with a preference for experience in tutoring or teaching in specialized education fields

• Credentialed tutors or graduate degrees are a plus, but not a requirement
• Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administration skills
• Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
• Reliable transportation with current car insurance and access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
• Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan)
• Having a personality that is suited for different types of students
