Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer – Data Pipeline Development and Management

About the Role
As a Staff Data Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing large-scale data pipelines and systems that support our business operations. You will work closely with our data science team to develop and implement data models, and collaborate with our engineering team to integrate data pipelines into our existing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and systems that support our business operations
- Collaborate with data science team to develop and implement data models
- Work with engineering team to integrate data pipelines into existing infrastructure
- Develop reusable structures that improve the reliability and flexibility of our ETLs
- Manage a portfolio of data assets that deliver high-quality, reliable data
- Mentor and train colleagues to improve their skills and knowledge
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our data systems
Requirements
* 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with ETL tools such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or AWS Glue
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
- Experience with data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka or Apache Flink
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

Compensation and Benefits
