About the Role

As a Health & Benefits Customer Service Representative / Call Center Agent (Remote), you'll be responsible for providing valuable support, education, and direction to accountholders calling our contact center. You'll be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with products like Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Healthcare Savings Accounts (HSA), COBRA, and others. Your primary goal will be to deliver one superior quality experience at a time, ensuring that each caller feels supported and empowered to navigate the healthcare reimbursement system.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide friendly and helpful service to accountholders, explaining how benefits and policies work and ensuring they understand how to get the most out of their individual plans.

  • Ensure all work is compliant with internal quality assurance standards and technical policies and programs.
  • Treat each caller with empathy, understanding, and respect, delivering the highest level of service in every interaction.
  • Consult with accountholders to support easy navigation of available online tools and apps, such as checking account balances and submitting claims.
  • Resolve issues without management intervention, removing barriers for the member and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Protect sensitive member information with discretion and adhere to all compliance rules and regulations.
  • Prioritize effectively to meet member service goals and deadlines, delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in customer service, with a focus on call center experience.

  • Ability to learn and retain information while using a digital workflow to navigate interactions and tools.
  • Basic understanding of medical/reimbursement terminology, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with accountholders on a human level.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to de-escalate and handle member issues without utilizing a supervisor.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare or reimbursement environment.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and concepts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, taking up to 50 calls per day.
  • Experience with online tools and apps, such as customer relationship management (CRM) software.
