Job Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service: You will be the face of blithequark, interacting with customers, answering their questions, and resolving any issues that may arise. Your warm and welcoming demeanor will make our customers feel valued and appreciated.
  • Operating the Cash Register and Store Equipment: You will be responsible for operating the cash register, handling customer transactions, and maintaining the accuracy of our inventory.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment: You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our store, including sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning the fast food area and equipment.
  • Restocking and Replenishing Merchandise: You will be responsible for restocking shelves, displays, and coolers, ensuring that our customers have access to the products they need.
  • Fueling and Washing Customer Vehicles: You will be responsible for fueling and washing customer vehicles, providing a convenient and hassle-free experience for our customers.
  • Promoting our Buy2 Concept and Making Upsell Suggestions: You will be responsible for promoting our Buy2 concept and making upsell suggestions to customers, increasing sales and driving revenue growth.
  • Reporting to Work Promptly and Neatly Groomed: You will be responsible for reporting to work on time, neatly groomed in uniform, and adhering to all company guidelines.
  • Reporting Accidents or Incidents: You will be responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents to your supervisor immediately, ensuring that our customers and employees are safe and secure.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You will be interacting with customers, colleagues, and supervisors on a daily basis, so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so you must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage your time effectively.
  • Basic Math Skills: You will be handling customer transactions and maintaining inventory, so basic math skills are required.
  • Ability to Lift Up to 25 Pounds: You will be lifting and carrying merchandise, so you must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability to Work Flexible Hours: You will be working a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, so you must be available to work flexible hours.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Previous Customer Service Experience: You will have previous customer service experience, preferably in a retail or fast food environment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: You will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a degree in a related field would be an asset.
  • Basic Computer Skills: You will have basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software applications.
