Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at blithequark Store, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Registering sales on assigned cash register, processing prescriptions, and handling customer transactions
- Assisting pharmacists with tasks such as filling prescriptions, verifying medication, and checking for potential interactions
- Maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including restocking shelves, checking inventory, and performing other tasks as assigned
- Providing support with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals
- Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
- Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance, including ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance
- Complying with all company policies and procedures, including those related to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
Customer Experience
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be the face of blithequark Store, and your interactions with customers will have a direct impact on their experience. You will be expected to:
- Engage with customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
Operations
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
- Recommending items for sale to customers and suggesting trade-up and/or companion items
- Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash, and distributing change as requested
- Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
- Taking customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products
Training & Personal Development
As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will have opportunities for growth and development, including:
- Earning and maintaining PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration
- Attending training and completing PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate and acquiring continuing education credits
- Maintaining knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including the latest news and developments
Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Be willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- Six months of experience in a retail environment
- Prior work experience with blithequark
- Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
- Good computer skills
- Knowledge of store inventory control
- PTCB certification
