Job Description

We are currently hiring part-time and full-time customer service associates for work-at-home positions after training. Training will be conducted in our office in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position is perfect for college students who are available during normal business hours. We offer flexibility based on your schedule, provided the hours you are available meet the needs of our company.

Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering quality customer service to our clients. Your major duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Operating phone and computer systems
  • Serving as a liaison between inspectors and clients
  • Providing customer service for incoming telephone calls, emails, and letters by responding or routing in a timely, efficient, and appropriate manner
  • Communicating with inspectors and inspection managers to resolve questions from clients and inspection issues
  • Handling email requests from customers, including reinspection approvals, customer questions, etc.
  • Maintaining records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments
  • Ensuring that client policies and procedures, as well as HUD requirements and guidelines, are being observed in the day-to-day operations
  • Effectively communicating with blithequark co-workers, client staff members, and supervisors regarding project status, client issues, and work assignments via personal conversation, fax, email, and phone
  • Exercising discretion in all matters regarding the general business operations of blithequark

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school or GED
  • 1-3 years of work experience in customer service preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which in the sole determination of blithequark constitutes the required knowledge and abilities
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Proven proficiency of modern office equipment, including multi-line phone, computer, printer, fax, scanner, and copier
  • Ability to prepare and present ideas in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in written form
  • Accurate typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 40wpm
  • Ability to establish, maintain, and promote effective working relationships with departmental employees, co-workers, vendors, consultants, contractors, and landlords/tenants
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds
  • Ability to work productively in a variety of working conditions and environments

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this role include:

  • Must be able to read various documents and operate office equipment (75-100%)
  • Must have acute hearing ability (75-100%)
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods (75-100%)
  • Must have ability to perform repetitive hand motions (75-100%)
