Key Responsibilities

As a Part Time Veterinarian with Blithequark's Pet Hospice Services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to pets in their homes. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-home visits to assess the medical needs of pets and develop personalized care plans
• Administering medications, performing medical procedures, and providing other necessary medical interventions
• Educating pet owners on proper care and management techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes for their pets
• Collaborating with other Blithequark team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and reports
• Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with the latest advances in veterinary medicine

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree from an accredited veterinary program
• At least 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds assisted
• Capable of walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, stooping, standing, and reaching consistently during the workday
• Comfortable with prolonged periods of driving
• Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools
