Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Veterinarian with blithequark, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients in their homes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting in-home visits to assess the medical needs of our patients
- Developing and implementing personalized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Providing medical care, including vaccinations, medications, and treatments, as needed
- Collaborating with our team of nurses and support staff to ensure seamless care coordination
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with the latest medical advancements and best practices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree from an accredited veterinary program
- At least 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. assisted
- Capable of walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, stooping, standing, and reaching consistently during the workday
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of driving
- Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools
