Key Responsibilities

As a virtual assistant at blithequark, your primary focus will be on providing top-notch guest services, ensuring that every interaction with our guests is personalized, professional, and reflective of our brand. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Screening potential guests to ensure they align with our brand and property standards
  • Providing support for guests, resolving issues promptly and efficiently across platforms such as Airbnb, VRBO, or Marriott
  • Responding to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicating and escalating issues to management via Slack to ensure seamless resolution
  • Achieving 5-star ratings and Superhost Status through exceptional guest service
  • Writing and responding to guest reviews on Airbnb, VRBO, or other platforms to maintain our high standards

Company Tasks and Operations Support

Beyond guest relations, you will also play a crucial role in supporting our operations team. This includes:

  • Reporting maintenance and damage issues to operations via Operto Teams to ensure prompt attention
  • Reporting and submitting damage claims to Guesty Shield for reimbursement, managing these processes efficiently
  • Building, managing, and reporting on in-house maintenance labor to optimize our operations
  • Assisting with the onboarding of accounting systems, utilizing your working knowledge of business financials and accounting principles
  • Managing 3rd party vendor relations for tertiary market management, ensuring all partnerships are beneficial and well-maintained

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with perfect grammar
  • Experience with Guesty and/or HostAI, or a similar platform, is highly desirable
  • Deep familiarity with leveraging AI for comprehensive guest messaging, particularly with ChatGPT
  • Comfort and proficiency in speaking English on the phone and using VoIP systems to communicate with guests and vendors
  • Availability and reliability in CST and Eastern United States time zones

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred and will be considered an asset:

  • Prior experience in guest services or a related field, particularly in short-term rental management
  • Knowledge of business financials and accounting principles to support our operations
  • Experience with 3rd party vendor relations and management
  • Familiarity with Operto Teams and Guesty Shield or similar platforms
