What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Representative - DIY Retention Seasonal Associate, you'll be responsible for providing advanced client support via phone, email, or chat, resolving complex issues related to our DIY online and software tax products. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Interpreting clients' needs and utilizing software solutions and troubleshooting skills to identify practical solutions
  • Utilizing software solutions, knowledge base, and computer systems to resolve and track user incidents
  • Identifying potential security issues and escalating them appropriately to business partners, including partnering with developers and other lines of business
  • Communicating clearly and calmly on the telephone, email, and chat, using effective customer service techniques to de-escalate stressful situations
  • Demonstrating exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of associates

Compensation and Benefits

* Competitive hourly rate of $17.00

  • Seasonal associates are eligible for additional monthly and end-of-season incentives by exceeding performance standards
  • Opportunities to participate in incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, generating additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan

Requirements and Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

  • General computer navigation knowledge
  • Must have a secure, dedicated workspace at home with a wired internet connection (minimum upload and download speeds of 15MBps)
  • Must have a smartphone and be willing to install an RSA token and Microsoft Teams
  • Prior experience in customer service or financial services, preferably in a large phone center or in-bound help desk environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, general computer software troubleshooting, and/or networking connectivity problems is a plus
