Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle management team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, answering their questions, and resolving their concerns in a timely and professional manner. If you're a self-motivated, multitasking, and team player with a strong attention to detail, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

* Answer patient calls regarding EOBs and research balances

  • Manage patient refunds
  • Process patient payments
  • Provide a positive customer service experience to clients, guests, and patients
  • Consistently demonstrate extensive attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve patient concerns and issues
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry developments
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

* A minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections

  • Current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare
  • Thorough understanding of EOBs, and the ability to effectively communicate by phone and in writing with patients
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to clients, guests, and patients
  • Self-motivated, multitasking, and a team player
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a revenue cycle management environment

  • Knowledge of proprietary technology and systems
  • Certification in medical billing and collections (e.g., CBCS, CCS-P)
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS)
