Job Summary

As a Chat Moderator at blithequark, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our online community. You will be responsible for moderating our official Discord server, ensuring that users adhere to our community guidelines and rules. This is a part-time, remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

* Moderating the chat of our official Discord server, including: + Deleting messages that violate our community guidelines and rules + Banning users with multiple and repeat violations of our rules + Muting users who have violated our rules + Investigating reports made by users about violations of our rules

• Collaborating with our team to develop and implement community guidelines and rules
• Providing excellent customer service and support to users
• Staying up-to-date with our community guidelines and rules, and making recommendations for improvements
• Participating in regular team meetings to discuss community issues and best practices

Qualifications

* Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflicts in a professional manner
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Discord and other online community platforms
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in online communities or customer service roles

• Knowledge of community management principles and best practices
• Familiarity with social media platforms and online community tools
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
