Job Summary

As a Remote Customer Service Representative with blithequark's Maryland Health Connection, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, answering their questions, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our customers receive the support they need to navigate the health insurance system. This is a full-time remote opportunity with a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to individuals, families, and small group employees seeking health insurance and other services related to the Maryland Health Connection

  • Answer customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Utilize the State's eligibility and enrollment portal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to perform all tasks and duties for HIX customers
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure that our customers receive the support they need to navigate the health insurance system
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on health insurance products and services
  • Work closely with our Quality Assurance team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance customer satisfaction

Essential Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a call center or health insurance setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must be a resident of the state of Maryland
  • Must have a high-speed internet connection and a personal computer with an i5 processor or higher

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with CRM software and other State systems

  • Knowledge of health insurance products and services
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

Compensation and Benefits

* Competitive hourly rate of $16.63 per hour

Schedule and Availability

* Must be available for a QC Interview with Client week of Sept 16-20th

  • Must be able to attend Real Job Preview on 9/27
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
